The WES evaluation cost for US admissions is $239 for a Course-by-Course evaluation with WES ICAP, about NPR 36,200. With standard delivery it comes to $253 (about NPR 38,300). A Document-by-Document ICAP evaluation costs $171. For Canadian immigration, the WES ECA costs C$264 plus 13% HST, about C$298 (NPR 32,400), before delivery. These are the fees on wes.org, checked on 6 November 2026. For a WES evaluation in Nepal, rupee amounts use Nepal Rastra Bank's selling rate that day: NPR 151.47 per US dollar and NPR 108.54 per Canadian dollar (NRB).

For Express Entry and other Canadian immigration programmes you need WES's Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) (WES: ECA):

WES says the ECA price "does not include delivery fees, additional fees, or a 13% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST)". The ECA includes an electronic report for you, access to the report for IRCC, an official paper report (delivery fees apply) and storage of your report and verified transcripts. For admission to a Canadian university (not immigration), check what your university asks for and WES Canada's own price list before you pay.

On top of the WES fee, budget for:

  • Your university's fee for transcripts or for sending records to WES. Kathmandu University, for example, sends electronic copies directly to WES after an online request, for a fee (KU).
  • A courier from Nepal, if your university gives you a sealed envelope to send.
  • Your card's foreign-currency charges. WES is paid online in dollars, so you need a card that works for international payments.

ICAP (International Credential Advantage Package) sends copies of your verified documents to your recipients along with the report, and stores your transcripts and report after the evaluation, so later reports are easier and cheaper (WES: benefits of ICAP). WES marks it "Recommended" on its fee page, and many universities require it. Basic is the evaluation report only. For most Nepali students ICAP is worth it: it costs $53 more, and if you apply to more universities later each new report is cheaper, so you don't have to order transcripts from Nepal again. If you chose Basic, you can upgrade to ICAP for $53 while the evaluation is still in progress.

Add the time your university needs to send transcripts and any courier time from Nepal. Paying for a faster courier for your report doesn't speed up the evaluation itself.

Online, in dollars (or Canadian dollars for an ECA), so you need a card that works for international online payments. Keep the receipt and your WES reference number.
Is a WES evaluation valid for 5 years?
